The UK versus the European Movement - who will win?

One of the best kept "secrets" of the campaigns surrounding Brexit is that nearly all the Remain campaigns are being run by a single organisation: the European Movement.  British broadcasters have covered the Remain referendum campaign as if it were being run by "Britain Stronger In Europe" but this was set up by the European Movement (see Funding of StrongerIn) and have covered the "PeoplesVote" campaign as if it were a separate organisation but it operates from the European Movement Offices in Millbank (see Shared Headquarters).  Even organisations such as Scientists for the EU and FBPE are European Movement based.

This raises two questions: why the secrecy and who is paying?  These are usually one question because secrecy in politics is nearly always about hiding who is paying.

The European Movement  was reliant upon US funding until 1954 when Jozef Retinger, the Honorary Secretary General of the European Movement, founded the Bilderberg Group to provide funds from the largest corporations and banks in the West.  In many ways the Bilderberg Group was as contentious as the USA as a source of funding because it would repel left wing supporters of European Union.  Retinger avoided this PR problem by constituting Bilderberg so that its meetings were secret and its actions deniable:

"We decided, however, that none of the new ideas and initiatives would be developed by the group, but that they should be passed on to some persons or organization who could further develop them." (The Bilderberg Group by J. Retinger).

Bilderberg is where those who consider themselves too powerful and important for the populist European Movement support the EU.

Kenneth Clarke is one of the Corporate Elite who actually ran the Bilderberg Group for a while. (See Clarke Trustee of Bilderberg). Clarke is also a current Vice President of the European Movement and a winner of the Coudenhove Kalergi Prize. He is President  of the European Movement's Conservative Group for Europe which is chaired by Dominic Grieve.  Clarke is famous for saying "I look forward to the day when the Westminster Parliament is just a council chamber in Europe."  — Kenneth Clarke, Conservative Chancellor in International Currency Review Vol 23 No 4 1996 (original not online but click here or here). The current President of the European Movement is Lord Heseltine.

Heseltine's depression at Project Fear turning out to be wrong
The Bilderberg Group is immensely powerful and nowadays controls the European Movement although this will be strenuously denied by all concerned.  However, the fact that Bilderberg members such as George Soros and the giant WPP advertising group pay for "PeoplesVote" shows that the two are connected - deniably of course.

Amber Rudd Bilderberger

It is very difficult to tackle the problem of the Bilderberg Group.  In 1976 C. Gordon Tether, who wrote the Lombard Column for the Financial Times,  confronted Bilderberg and as a result was sacked and never worked again for a national newspaper.  Since then few mainstream journalists have dared even to report on the Group.  Given that the Financial Times, Economist and even the BBC attend Bilderberg Meetings it is not surprising that broadcasters refuse to criticise the Group and smear any detractors as conspiracy theorists.  Everyone should be clear, there is no conspiracy because the Bilderberg Group was set up openly to further European Union and there is no theory because the furthering of European Union is what the Bilderberg Group does.

The European Movement was the power behind "Remain" in the EU Referendum in the UK and are now running "PeoplesVote", it is a Pan-European organisation that is financed by the Bilderberg Group and directly by the EU.  Its most powerful UK Bilderberg Member is Martin Sorrel who used his role as CEO of WPP, the largest advertising agency in the world, to control the UK commercial media, especially the Broadcast Media.  WPP has inserted their stooge, Roland Rudd (Amber Rudd's brother) on the board of Open Britain Ltd which controls European Movement funding in the UK.

Amber Rudd was sent to the latest Bilderberg meeting in Turin on 7th-10th June 2018 (see Bilderberg Participants).  Shortly after this meeting a deputation of Bilderbergers was dispatched to persuade the UK Government to adopt the Chequers Deal instead of Canada Plus. Barnier, the EU's chief negotiator, had previously signalled that he would accept a Canada Plus FTA but after the Bilderberg intervention this was taken off the table by the UK. The Chequers deal was designed to create a showdown between an eternal customs union and No Deal, so dividing Leavers and opening up the possibility of revoking Article 50.

The battle over Brexit is clearly a battle between the European Movement and the British People.   It is a battle between democracy and the naked power of the Corporate Elite in the form of Multinational Corporations and International Banks of the Bilderberg Group.  The Corporate Elite are supported by their Drones - white collar Public Sector, Academic and Corporate employees - who believe their media.

The European Movement has considerable experience of fighting for, and getting, second referendums.  The technique is to make out that the opposition were ill-informed, to smear prominent opponents so that their campaign and funding looks illegal and to spread Project Fear disinformation in their media to cow the population into submission.  Here is an analysis of the European Movement strategy in the Irish Second Referendums:

See EU Second Referendums
The European Movement believes in full EU political union.  Their campaigners never divulge this intention and have developed an approach in the media and on social media that destroys democracy.  Rather than campaigning for their beliefs they arrogantly try to prod their opponents like cattle in the direction of full EU Political Union by denying that the EU has or will have any effect on UK independence. In fact they debate in such bad faith that those who oppose them are justified in simply declaring them to be European Movement trolls.

As well as obtaining money from Bilderberg members the European Movement receives funds directly from the EU - and indirectly from projects financed by the EU See speech by Chris Heaton Harris MP. It also receives funds from member states, especially Ireland.

The problem for the British electorate is that no-one is telling us about the fact that it is the European Movement and their Bilderberg Group that is backing Remain.  This is a national scandal.  The Russians are not even actively backing Leave but the UK corporate media are all over the alleged possibilities whereas the European Movement actually runs Remain and set up the Bilderberg Group but the corporate media are utterly silent.

Anyone who doubts Corporate power to control the media should reflect on how effective they have been at clearing Leave supporters from Twitter:

The Falklands have always been Argentine - Las Malvinas son Argentinas

"The Falklands have always been Argentine" is taught to every Argentine child as a matter of faith.  What was Argentina during the time when it "always" possessed Las Malvinas?  In this article I will trace the history of Argentina in the context of its physical and political relationship with "Las Malvinas", the Falkland Islands.  The Argentine claim to the Falkland Islands dates from a brief episode in 1831-32 so it is like Canada claiming the USA despite two centuries of separate development. This might sound like ancient history but Argentina has gone to war for this ancient claim so the following article is well worth reading. For a summary of the legal case see: Las Malvinas: The Legal Case Argentina traces its origins to Spanish South America when it was part of the Viceroyalty of the Rio del Plata.  The Falklands lay off the Viceroyalty of Peru, controlled by the Captain General of Chile.  In 1810 the Falklands were far from the geographical b...

Practical Idealism by Richard Nicolaus Coudenhove-Kalergi

Coudenhove-Kalergi was a pioneer of European integration. He was the founder and President for 49 years of the Paneuropean Union. His parents were Heinrich von Coudenhove-Kalergi, an Austro-Hungarian diplomat, and Mitsuko Aoyama, the daughter of an oil merchant, antiques-dealer, and huge landowner family in Tokyo. His "Pan-Europa" was published in 1923 and contained a membership form for the Pan-Europa movement. Coudenhove-Kalergi's movement held its first Congress in Vienna in 1926. In 1927 the French Prime Minister, Aristide Briand was elected honorary president.  Personalities attending included: Albert Einstein, Thomas Mann and Sigmund Freud. Figures who later became central to founding the EU, such as Konrad Adenauer became members . His basic idea was that democracy was a transitional stage that leads to rule by a new aristocracy that is largely taken from the Jewish "master race" (Kalergi's terminology). His movement was reviled by Hitler and H...

Membership of the EU: pros and cons

5th December 2013, update May 2016 Nigel Lawson, ex-Chancellor of the Exchequer,  recently criticised the UK membership of the EU , the media has covered his mainstream view as if he is a bad boy starting a fight in the school playground, but is he right about the EU? What has changed that makes EU membership a burning issue?  What has changed is that the 19 countries of the Eurozone are now seeking political union to escape their financial problems.   Seven further EU countries have signed up to join the Euro but the British and Danish have opted out.  The EU is rapidly becoming two blocks - the 26 and Britain and Denmark.   Lawson's fear was that if Britain stays in the EU it will be isolated and dominated by a Eurozone bloc that uses "unified representation of the euro area" , so acting like a single country which controls 90% of the vote in the EU with no vetoes available to the UK in most decisions.  The full plans for Eurozone po...
