The Football Super League and how the West was Lost

I have just been listening to BBC Radio 4.  What struck me this morning was that RT or China Global Television Network are truly less anti-Western and anti-British than the BBC. 

The most striking bit of news was that JP Morgan, the huge US investment bank, was financing a new Super League of twelve  clubs consisting of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham from England and AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid from the EU.

What is peculiar about the coverage by the media is that they seem not to have spotted that the English Premier League is not English.  

Manchester United is owned by the US Glazer Family, Liverpool was bought in 2010 by the US company Fenway Sports Group, in 2011 Arsenal was acquired by US based Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.  Since 2003 Chelsea FC has been owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich who is now an Israeli citizen. In 2008 Abu Dhabi acquired Manchester City. The exception is Spurs which is owned by ENIC International Ltd, an international investment company based in the UK.  The clubs do not provide preferential employment for English footballers and, except for the live audience, they have an international fan base.

The true story is that Premier League Clubs are Multinational businesses, like Siemens or Glaxo, with brand names derived from English place names.  They have encouraged the local live audience by promulgating a fiction that they are still the football club that grew up in the locality.  The BBC and other broadcasters are pivotal to spreading the fiction of English locality for multinational football.  The fiction is now that being foreign is being English and, apart from the consequential failure of England in the world cup, the fans accept the fiction. 

No-one should worry about the Super League, its just business. The Super League is an international entertainment industry, not part of an English football competition.  The local fans who object are fools, they sold their teams years ago and have been hoodwinked by the media into thinking that the teams were theirs. It is a shock to many, but being foreign is not being English, foreigners have no qualms at all about where they play football. Why should they? Supporters need not fear, when Chelsea becomes a Super League team there will be even more for the fans to talk about without the myth that Chelsea FC has anything to do with West London.

Perhaps Chelsea, Manchester etc should ask for their names back so that local footballers can again play for their locality in the national football competition called the "Football League". 

BBC Radio 4 followed the Super League news with "Start the Week" which was a diatribe against the "West".  It redrafted European history in terms of non-European history with the intention of using the past to morally condemn the current generation of Europeans.  This is obviously an intellectually flawed exercise.  The Europeans of today are not the Europeans of 200 years ago and wars show us that economies can be in utter ruins yet fully recover within 25 years.  There is no pot of gold from 200 years ago that we are still consuming and our current wealth is due to the economic activity of the past 25 years.  

So why is the BBC creating the false myths that foreign multinational companies are as English as football and that we owe our entire society to the labour of foreign people 200 years ago?  Why are these attractive ideas for BBC staff?  In both cases they entail the idea that being English is not an advantage, that the UK is not a business operated by its people and even the idea of these things is morally incorrect.

Being British is being sovereign over the government of the Nation.  The British government is entrusted with adjusting the economic and social rules to provide a good quality of life for people in Britain.  This good quality of life is not just economics, it also entails other factors such as freedom, laws, infrastructure and conservation etc.  The importance of these other factors is derived from the social history of the UK, and especially the social history of England (not the "Empire" which is only important to migrants and foreigners).  If you want to destroy England you must destroy the idea of being English and this is what the staff at the BBC and other broadcasters are attempting to do.  

Broadcasting and publishing need money so who is financing the attack on England?  It is people with money and foreign powers using sovereign wealth funds, often based in offshore banking havens (I know, it sounds crazy but its true - see How much of the world is owned by China?).  These are always the enemy of the man in the street.  They believe they should rule rather than the People.  Of course, if you let the American Fenway Sports Group acquire your football team it is no longer yours and if you let the economy be run by foreigners it will be run for them, not you.  The only thing that seems to match the treachery of the broadcasters, especially the BBC, is the gullibility of those who listen to them.

A war is in progress between Western nation states, especially the USA and UK, and big money, much of it controlled by foreign powers.  The ordinary people in the nation states seem to be losing because the mass media are run by their enemies.
