The Austrian Presidential vote has been overturned by the courts and the far-right Freedom Party (BNP style) candidate, Norbert Hofer, is well ahead in the polls with a 52% to 48% lead. This lead is likely to be even greater in the October election given the under-counting of right wing votes by pollsters.
Marine Le Pen in France is also on the verge of a significant performance at the start of the Presidential Election, perhaps even winning the first round of the Election in April 2017.
Hungary, Holland and several other countries have powerful right wing movements that, with the refugee crisis and terrorism, are becoming ever more popular. Some pundits have speculated that this could lead to the break up of the EU. They are wrong. The UK was outside the Eurozone but is still finding that the tentacles of EU control have reached deep into the governance of Britain. The members of the Eurozone cannot escape without tumultuous changes - they have no control over their own banks and must even submit their national budgets to the EU for inspection - so there is no Exit available. Many of the Eurozone right wingers, such as the AfD and Austrian Freedom Party have already accepted this new reality and talk in terms of changing the EU by alliances on the Right.
In many ways this is good news for those who wanted to Remain: they will see that the EU is indeed a dangerous place and the UK is well out of it. The UK only had about 9% of the votes in the EU Council and Parliament so would have been swamped by any Right Wing revolution.
When the Western Allies created the Common Market in return for Marshall Plan Aid they used a pre-existing model - see How the EU was Born. Very few Remain voters know this.
