Ironically, this is probably because Britain has so little real countryside left that few people think about it! A while ago it was announced how many acres of land would be needed for new houses. It amounts to the area of the Isle of Wight.
Any discussion about immigration consists of "will they make us richer?", "will they effect our culture?", crime, health service, etc. The fact that our countryside and its wildlife is disappearing,is never discussed.
Do we really want to live in an endless concrete jungle from coast to coast?
Also, no-one has ever given a rational reason as to why we actually need immigration. We did perfectly well for a thousand years with very small immigration levels.
I am reading the first part of the english translation of the book "Practical Idealism" by Coudenhove-kalergi, that was posted on your site. It was only a first part of the book. I was wondering if you could provide the english translation of the entire book. If can't find it anywhere else on the internet in it's entirety.
Kind regards
